How to Create, Edit, or Pin a Post

Learn how to create posts with text, images, videos, and links, edit and update them easily, and pin important announcements or welcome messages. Follow simple steps to keep your MemberUp community active, organized, and full of meaningful interactions.

Overview

Posts are the foundation of your MemberUp community — they help you share updates, spark conversations, and keep members engaged. Whether you’re making announcements, asking questions, or posting media, here’s how to create, edit, and pin posts effectively.


Creating a Post

  1. Log in to the community.

  2. From your sidebar, go to Community.

  3. Click Create a post... at the top of your Feed.

  4. Add your content:

    • Write a clear title and engaging body text.

    • Attach images, videos, or links if needed.

    • Choose a Space you want your space to be categorized under.

    • Click on Publish.

  5. Choose a Space (using the #Choose Space dropdown at the top) to categorize your post.

  6. Click Publish to make your post live.


Editing a Post

  1. Locate and click on the post you want to edit in your Community Feed.

  2. Click the More Options (...) menu in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Update your text, media, or attachments as needed.

  5. Click Save or Update to confirm your changes.


Pinning a Post

Pinning a post keeps it at the top of your community feed so it’s easy for everyone to find.

  1. Log in with the admin or owner email address of your community.

  2. Find and click on the post you’d like to pin.

  3. Click the More Options (...) menu in the top-right corner.

  4. Select Pin.

  5. The post will now stay visible at the top of your Feed for all members.


Tips for Effective Posts

  • Use clear titles and high-quality visuals to boost engagement.

  • Pin welcome messages, rules, or key announcements to guide members.

  • Refresh or unpin older posts regularly to keep your Feed current.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

Why can’t I see the “Create a post” option?

Only admins, owners, or logged-in community members can create posts. If you meet these criteria but still cannot post, try clearing your browser cookies and cache, then attempt again.

Can I schedule posts for later?

Scheduled posting is not currently available.

Can multiple posts be pinned?

Yes — you (Community owners and admins) can pin maximum of upto three posts, and they’ll appear in the order they were pinned.
