We’re upgrading all MemberUp communities to Version 2 (V2) - a faster, simpler, and more intuitive version of the platform designed to help your community grow, engage, and thrive.
It includes everything you need to know, including:

2. Why We’re Upgrading
Over the past year, we’ve listened closely to your feedback from MemberUp V1. You told us what you loved, what could be better, and what would make the biggest difference in growing your community.
Whether you’re an established creator or just starting out, the same challenge came up again and again:

That’s exactly what MemberUp V2 was built to solve. It’s faster, smarter, and designed to help your community grow with less effort and more engagement.
3. What’s New
Below are some of the high-level changes and improvements we’re rolling out.
Unified Member Profiles
One login for all communities - no more multiple profiles or credentials.
When you log into MemberUp, you can instantly access every community you own or are a part of, all under one account.
Easy Community Switcher
In one click, you and your members can jump between communities from a simple dropdown menu - no re-logging in or extra steps required.
Discovery
MemberUp is now a connected network of communities. Members can explore and join other communities directly from user profiles - helping your community get discovered by new audiences organically.
New About Page
When someone clicks on your community, they’ll see a clean, simple sales page that sells your community for you. New members can join in a single click, with their saved card details ready to go - think Amazon, but for communities.
Enhanced Visibility Controls
Control exactly who can see and join your community. You can now mark your community as Private, Free, or Paid, giving you full flexibility over visibility and access.
Multiple Checkout Links
Create and share unique checkout links for different pricing options.
Run secret sales or special promotions with custom links that only select people can access. (Your default price still appears on your About page.)
Member Requests & Screening Questions
Easily vet new members by setting up custom questions they must answer before joining. Review their responses and accept or decline requests directly from your dashboard.
Unified Inbox
Message anyone across all your communities from a single, centralized inbox that pops up in an easy-to-access modal - similar to Facebook’s unified messaging.
No more switching between communities just to reply to DMs.
Fresh Design & Layout
A sleek, modern redesign across all pages makes navigation faster and more intuitive. The new layout
User Theme Controls
Members can now choose light or dark mode, making their MemberUp experience more enjoyable and personalized - so they spend more time in your community.
New Community URLs
Your community’s new home will be: memberup.com/yourcommunity
(Subdomains like yourcommunity.memberup.com and custom domains will be retired.)
This update makes it seamless for users to switch between communities, explore new ones, and login more easily.
Universal Notifications
Members now receive notifications no matter where they are on MemberUp - more touchpoints mean higher engagement, better retention, and stronger community connections.
New Pricing
All existing creators are grandfathered into their current MemberUp plan — no action needed. Up until now, MemberUp has only offered annual subscriptions with no free trial. With V2, that’s changing. We’re introducing monthly billing options and a free trial for new customers, making it easier than ever to get started and experience MemberUp.

V2 is everything you loved about MemberUp - rebuilt from the ground up to help your community grow faster, look better, and run smoother than ever before.
4. What You Need to Do
To make your transition to MemberUp V2 seamless, please review the following details carefully. We've done our best to make the transition as seamless as possible - but a few small actions on your part will ensure everything goes smoothly.
Important Migration Details
During the upgrade, we’ll migrate your community content, members, and settings for you. Here’s what you and your members should know before migration begins:
1️⃣ For All Users (Both Community Members & Owners)
Email Consistency is Key
Make sure you use the same email address across all your MemberUp accounts.
If you’ve used different emails for different communities, those accounts won’t merge automatically.
We can merge them manually if needed, but past posts, comments, and messages may not transfer.
Passwords
Your password will default to the one used on the first community migrated.
You can reset your password anytime once migrated if you forget it.
Notifications
Existing notifications will not carry over to V2.
You’ll start fresh with new notifications after the upgrade.
2️⃣ For Community Owners / Admins
New Community URL
Your community will move to: memberup.com/yourcommunity
Custom domains and subdomains will migrate automatically.
⚠️ If you have existing join / login links anywhere (emails, websites, etc.), you’ll need to update them after migration.
Branding Update
Upload your favicon and cover image in advance.
(Note: logos are no longer displayed in the new interface.)
Default Pricing Setup
All communities will appear as Paid on your About Page by default.
If you currently use a custom checkout or run a free community, you can switch it to Free anytime from your About Page after migration.
Coupons & Custom Prices
Stripe coupons will no longer work.
Instead, create custom prices and share those checkout links directly with members.
Admin Invites
Existing admin invites will expire after migration.
Resend new invites, or share a free join link and then upgrade that user to Admin manually.
Community Access During Migration
Your community will be temporarily inaccessible for about 10–20 minutes (up to one hour maximum).
If you or a member try to join during that time, you’ll see a notice saying migration is in progress.
Analytics
Enhanced analytics will be added soon.
For now, the best place to view your analytics is directly within Stripe.
Affiliates
Our new in-house affiliate system is on the way.
Until then, affiliate functionality will be temporarily disabled.
Settings to Review After Migration
Once your community is live on V2, take a moment to review the following:
About Page – Update your community description, visuals, and details.
Community Favicon & Cover – Confirm your branding displays correctly.
Checkout Links – Review your default pricing and test all checkout links.
Community Switcher – Ensure you see each community you own, or are a member of within your community switcher.
5. Migration Timeline
You’ll receive an email 1–2 days before your scheduled migration.
Once migration starts, your community will be temporarily offline (Maximum 1 hour)
You’ll get a confirmation email once it’s complete and live on V2.

No, everything will carry over exactly as it is.
What happens to my logo?

MemberUp V2 gives your community a cleaner, more modern look - but you still have full control over your branding. Logos are no longer displayed in the new interface and have been replaced by your community favicon and cover image.
Make sure both are uploaded to keep your community looking on-brand and beautifully customized.
Do my coupons still work?

We’ve made it even easier to offer discounted or special pricing. Older coupons created through Stripe won’t transfer over, but you can now create custom prices directly in your settings menu and share unique checkout links with specific members or promotions.
How long will migration take?
