Overview

If you or your members are unable to log into MemberUp, it’s usually due to one of a few simple issues — such as using the wrong email, an expired invite link, or browser caching. This guide walks you through the most common reasons and how to resolve them.


Common Login or Access Issues & Fixes

1. Can’t Log In or Forgot Password

  • Go to your MemberUp login page.

  • Click Forgot Password and follow the instructions to reset it.

  • Check your email inbox and spam folder for the reset link.

  • If the link has expired, request a new one and complete the process within 24 hours after which the link expires.


2. Invite Link Not Working

  • Make sure the link hasn’t expired or been used already.

  • If you’re the admin or owner, go to Settings → Invite, and either:

    • Copy the link from the About page and resend it manually.

    • Use the Email Invite option to send a fresh access email.

  • Remember: instant invite links bypass membership requests, while About page links route users through the purchase or join flow.


3. Access Denied or “You Don’t Have Permission” Error

  • This usually means the user isn’t assigned a valid role or has been removed.

  • As an admin, click Members → Settings Cog → Membership and check the role.

  • Ensure the user is listed as a Member, Admin, or Owner — or reinvite them if they were removed.


4. Page Not Loading or Login Loop

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.

  • Try logging in through an incognito window.

  • Disable browser extensions like ad blockers or privacy filters.

  • Switch to another browser (Chrome or Safari recommended).


5. Using the Wrong Email

  • Make sure you’re logging in with the same email used for your invite or purchase.

  • MemberUp accounts are email-specific — using a different email won’t show the same communities.


Additional Troubleshooting Tips

  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure you’re online and not behind a VPN that blocks access.

  • Verify Community URL: Double-check that you’re logging into the correct MemberUp subdomain.

  • Update Browser: Outdated browsers can cause session or cookie errors.


When to Contact Support

If you’ve tried all the above and still can’t access your account:

  • Reach out to your Community Admin (if you’re a member).

  • Or contact MemberUp Support with the following:

    • The email address you’re trying to log in with

    • A screenshot of the issue

    • The URL of your community
