How to Edit Your Profile and Bio

Learn how to edit your profile and bio in MemberUp. Update your profile photo, cover image, name, URL, bio, location, and social links to personalize your member identity.

Overview

Your MemberUp profile represents who you are within every community you join. You can customize your personal details, images, and links to help others connect with you. Some fields can only be changed once, so review your updates carefully before saving.


Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Open Profile Settings
    Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
    Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  2. Select Profile Section
    In the left-hand sidebar, ensure Profile is selected.

  3. Update Your Profile Image
    Upload a new profile photo.
    Recommended size: at least 500 × 500 px.

  4. Upload a Cover Image
    Add or change your cover banner.
    Recommended size: at least 800 × 450 px.

  5. Edit Personal Information
    Update the following fields as needed:

    • First and Last Name (can only be edited once)

    • Profile URL (can only be edited once)

    • Bio

    • Location

    • Personality Type

    • Social Links (e.g., Instagram, Website, LinkedIn)

  6. Save Your Changes
    Click Save to apply your profile updates.

  • Use a clear headshot and a branded cover image for a strong professional presence.

  • Keep your bio short, personal, and welcoming — members are more likely to connect.

  • Add active social links to help people engage with you outside the platform.

  • If you need to change your name or URL again, contact support for assistance.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

I can’t edit my name or URL again. Why?

These fields are only editable once. Reach out to MemberUp Support if an update is required.

My images won’t upload.

Check that your file size meets the minimum resolution and retry. Refresh the page if necessary.

My changes didn’t save.

Ensure you clicked Save before navigating away. Try refreshing your browser.

I don’t see the Settings option.

Make sure you are logged in using the correct member account.
